Transfiguration School, along with the Archdiocese of New York and New York State, uses the New York State Next Generation Standards for English Language Arts and Literacy (including literacy in History/Social Studies, Science, and Technical Subjects) as well as Mathematics (revised 2017). The revised New York State Standards aim to reimagine the educational framework for English Language Arts and Mathematics, with the goal of better supporting educators in their instructional practice and to provide additional guidance on achieving a vision of 21st century literacy. The NYS standards aim to prepare our students to become lifelong learners and thinkers, as well as active participants in civil, community and professional endeavors.
In addition to our traditional programming that has been in place for over 185 years, we have recently introduced our Department of Education 3K and PreK for all programs available to any and all children at no cost. Visit our Admissions page to learn more, take a tour, and apply. Both our DOE and Traditional programs are available for enrollment.
