Curriculum

Our classrooms are called

PEACE, LOVE, JOY, HOPE, FAITH and CHARITY

to emphasize the core Catholic values taught to our students.

We follow the standards and curriculum guidelines set by the New York State Department of Education for Early Literacy titled New York State Standards for Pre-K and Kand the Superintendent of Schools of the Archdiocese of New York in Early Childhood titled Essential Learnings.

The school’s academic program incorporates Religion, Literacy, Math, Science and Social Studies, Music, Art and Physical Education. These areas are integrated within a core theme to allow for constructive and strategic learning. Learning is hands-on and child-initiated.

Students learning is monitored by progress report cards, collected in their own Portfolio and recorded in a teacher use tool, Palm Pilot in software called Child Chart.
