September 2009
Monday, 7th:  Labor Day
Wednesday, 9th: School Begins, Students' Dismissal at 12:00p.m. for Teachers' meeting
**Required - Health form must be returned with child on the first day of school
Additional forms (trip, emergency are distributed)
Thursday, 10th and Friday, 11th: Students' Dismissal at 3:00p.m.
Scholastic Uniforms Company will be in the school for pick-ups and exchanges.
Monday, 14th:  First day of full uniform, regular school day, pick up begins at 5:00p.m. - 6:00p.m.
Wednesday, 16th: Back to school night for Parents at 6:00p.m. Students' Dismissal at 3:00 p.m.

 Please note: The school calendar includes 3 extra days to compensate for emergency school closings which may occur during winter.   If we do not lose any days to emergency, then school will be closed on the following days also:

Parent Teacher Conference Days (PTC) with report card: formal meeting of 15 minutes with your child’s teacher to review your child’s academic and social progress.
First quarter:

Friday, November 13th  dismissal at 12:00 p.m. PTC begins 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Formal Testing for Kindergarten Students in Charity and Peace classes:
Standardized Test called Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) during the week of October 13th – 22nd

Uniform is expected to be distributed and available for pick up on September  9th , 10th and 11th   All uniform items must be marked with child’s name and worn on regular school days   Dress down on trip days with school t-shirt is required.  An extra set of clothes must always be kept in the cubby.
